Book & Publishing Design for Authors & Publishers

Whether you're an author, illustrator or self-publisher, Edisford Design can help turn your manuscript or ideas into a professionally designed book, working with clients across the UK and beyond.

I can help with book covers, page layout, typography, illustration and print-ready artwork, as well as preparing files for platforms such as Amazon KDP.

From an initial idea through to the finished artwork, you'll work directly with an experienced designer who understands both the creative and technical sides of producing a book.

From Concept to Published Book

Your book needs more than a good cover. The typography, layout, imagery and overall design all need to work together to suit the story, genre and intended audience.

I create book covers, page layouts and illustrations, and can prepare the finished artwork to meet the technical requirements of your chosen publisher or platform, including Amazon KDP

Book Cover Design

A strong cover is your book’s first impression. I design covers that are visually compelling, genre‑appropriate, and built to stand out both online and in print. Every cover is crafted with clear hierarchy, strong typography, and commercial appeal.

Illustration & Visual Storytelling

From character art to full‑page illustrations, I create bespoke artwork that enhances your narrative and adds depth to your world. Styles range from clean line‑art to rich, detailed illustration — tailored to your story’s personality.

Amazon KDP Publishing Setup

Publishing on Amazon KDP can be overwhelming. I prepare your files, format your interior, optimise your cover for KDP’s specifications, and guide you through the upload process. You get a professionally presented book ready for global distribution.

“A book is a dream you hold in your hands. Design gives that dream shape, transforming words and ideas into something real, tangible, and ready to be shared with the world.”
